Austin Cast in Film 'Honk For Jesus, Save Your Soul'

Austin is joining the cast of mega-church satire Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul from production company Pinky Promise and Daniel Kaluuya’s 59% banner. The film stars Regina Hall, Sterling K. Brown, Nicole Beharie, and Conphidance.

The project, which will be shot in a faux-documentary style, follows Trinity Childs (Hall), the first lady of a prominent Southern Baptist Mega Church, who attempts to help her pastor-husband, Lee-Curtis Childs (Brown), rebuild their congregation and reconcile their faith to make the biggest comeback that commodified religion has ever seen. 'Call Your Mother' Ordered Straight-to-Series By ABC

Austin Crute will be starring as ‘Lane’ in ABC’s new comedy series Call Your Mother, which was picked up for their 2020-21 season. Read more from Deadline below.

ABC has made its first official new scripted series selections for the 2020-21 season, handing straight-to-series orders to David E. Kelley’s drama Big Sky, starring Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick, and Kari Lizer’s multi-camera comedy Call Your Mother (fka My Village), headlined by Kyra Sedgwick.
